Magoso has a tradition of hosting a regular end term Old Boys and Girls OBOG meeting. End of first term meeting was held on 1st May 2023. The meeting for the end of the first term brought together a number of the school’s beneficiaries. It is mainly meant for its alumnus who are also beneficiaries of the sponsorship program for high school students.
The students usually engage in a number of activities that keep them engaged for the rest of the holiday. They first present the end term report forms before the Magoso pioneers. This is to keep the student on toes in their academic performance. The alumnus also gets to interact and send letters to their individual sponsors.
Tutoring, library discussions among the alumnus from different schools and share experiences. they share how their respective schools are treating them and what they like or dislike about the schools. Some of the topics that greatly enveloped this meeting was diet, classes, co-curriculum activities among others.
The alumnus who are currently in universities and colleges tutored the students through out the holiday. They also motivate them and encourage them to keep working hard and smart. The tutoring is lead by Johnson Ochieng, a Magoso alumni in Kenyatta University and Cosmas Otiso in Moi Eldoret university. There are also a number of other volunteering tutors.
Volunteering in a number of school’s activities was also a tusk that the alumnus did. They helped clean the school during the holiday. they also got involved in a number of fun activities such as football, athletics among others.
The alumnus meeting ended on 5th May 8, 2023.
